MONROVIA ROCKHOUNDS
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
1. Application for membership is open to any person 18 years of age or older. Relatives of members, under 18 years of age, can be issued a MOROK “Pebble Pup” badge, with no dues or initiation fee and they are not considered a member.
2. If the person is sponsored by a regular member of the organization, the requirements shall be the attendance of two regular meetings and acceptance by the Board of Directors.
3. If a person has no sponsor, the requirements are the attendance of two regular meetings, and attendance of one club sponsored field trip, and acceptance by the Board of Directors.
4. Any regular member who has any objections about any applicant for membership shall inform the Board of Directors in writing of his objections, and the reasons for the same.
5. ` In case four or more objections are received by the Board of Directors, and if the objections are sound, the application is automatically rejected and may not be resubmitted for one year.
6. Any member who violated rules and/or regulations of the organization and whose conduct is considered improper and/or detrimental to the welfare and/or objectives of the organization may be expelled from the organization by a two-thirds majority of a quorum.
7. The initiation fee of $5.00 per applicant is payable the date of initiation.
8. The annual dues are $15.00 per member and $5.00 per each additional member of the same address. Dues are due April 1st of each year. Non-payment for 3 months or more may mean loss of membership. If a new member joins during the first 6 months, full dues must be paid. If they join after the 6 months, they pay one half the annual dues.
9. Each individual interested in joining the Monrovia Rockhounds shall fill out a membership form.
10. Members are not allowed to sell for individual profit at club events.
11. Monrovia Rockhound meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 7 pm. We are currently meeting in the basement of the United Methodist Church of Monrovia, 140 E. Palm Ave., Monrovia, CA 91016. Enter through the West Alley/driveway door.
